Spring Fawn
“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.” Charles Dickens.
This original watercolor was inspired by the spring fawns that quietly appear; sometimes when the snow lingers, sometimes when the flowers bloom. In March, we are to be still, waiting to see how the world unfolds, perfect - regardless.
This fawn is for my mother, who adores the deer that visit her yard and keeps me current with all the new additions to the herd.
